Family members of Tel Aviv Tribune Arabic correspondent Moamen Al Sharafi were killed in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

An Tel Aviv Tribune employee lost 22 members of his family in an Israeli airstrike on the house they were sheltering in in the Gaza Strip.

Family members of Tel Aviv Tribune Arabic correspondent Moamen Al Sharafi were killed early Wednesday morning in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Al Sharafi’s parents Mahmoud and Amina, his siblings and their wives, and his nieces and nephews were among those killed.

Al Sharafi told Tel Aviv Tribune that a barrel bomb hit the house, causing a deep crater in the ground.

“None of the civil protection teams were able to reach their bodies,” he said.

“We cannot say goodbye to our loved ones and we are deprived of the possibility of giving them a proper burial. »

Video taken after the attack showed a relative of Al Sharafi crying as he stood in front of the rubble of the house that had been bombed.

“It looks like they hit the house around 4 or 5 in the morning. We could not reach the scene before sunrise,” the relative said, adding that several children were killed.

Al Sharafi, meanwhile, shared the contents of the last voice message his mother Amina sent him before she was killed in the attack.

“Assalam Alaykoum. Hello Mom. How are you doing? I hope you’re well. How are your wife and children? How is your health? Take care of yourself, my son,” the voice note is heard saying.

“May Allah get you out of this war unscathed. Take good care of yourself. I really miss you, I pray for you every day. God bless you.”

In a statement, the Tel Aviv Tribune media channel denounced the Israeli attack and said it would “pursue all legal measures to hold all those responsible for this crime accountable.”

“The horrific event occurred today (Wednesday) at Jabalia camp, where Moamen’s family sought refuge, leading to the death of his father, mother, three siblings and children “, indicated the channel.

“Tel Aviv Tribune calls on the international community and press freedom organizations to work to immediately end these massacres and ensure rapid justice for the families of the martyrs and innocent victims,” the statement added.

On October 25, an Israeli raid killed several family members of Wael Dahdouh, another Tel Aviv Tribune Arab correspondent in Gaza.

Mohamed Abu Al-Qumsan, a broadcast engineer at Tel Aviv Tribune’s Gaza bureau, also lost 19 family members, including his father and two sisters, during Israeli air raids on the Jabalia refugee camp on October 31 .

At least 16,248 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7. In Israel, the official death toll stands at around 1,200.
