Israeli poll: 54% support targeting the Iranian nuclear weapon news

The results of an opinion poll in Israel showed that 54% of Israelis support targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, as part of the expected Israeli response to the Iranian attack at the beginning of this month.

The poll showed that those who supported targeting Iranian nuclear facilities saw this targeting as a “success for Israel and its government,” while 25% saw the attack on symbols of the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei’s regime as “the most important success,” according to what was reported by Anadolu Agency.

The results of the poll – which was conducted by the private Israeli channel 14, which is close to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and included 472 Israelis over the age of 18 – also showed that 13% believe that the attack on Iran’s oil and gas infrastructure is the “greatest success,” while the percentage was not disclosed. The remaining 8% expressed no opinion.

The poll comes as Iran awaits a possible Israeli attack on it, after its attack on Israel about two weeks ago, in response to the assassination of the former head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran in late July, and Tel Aviv’s announcement of its assassination of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in The southern suburb of Beirut late last September.

This is accompanied by almost daily assurances from Israeli officials regarding the response to Iran, including Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant saying that the Israeli response to the Iranian missile attack will be “deadly, precise, and surprising in a way that Tehran will not know what happened and how it happened,” as he put it.
