Israeli ministers acknowledged the stumbling of the military operations in Gaza, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding security consultations on the military and prisoner situation, in light of American statements of great progress that may allow the conclusion of an agreement to end the war.
The Israeli Channel 12, on Wednesday, quoted 3 government ministers as saying that the war in Gaza carries theoretical perceptions, but in practice it does not achieve results.
The ministers indicated that there is a need to carry out another act at the military level or seek to end the war and complete an agreement.
The 12th Channel indicated that Netanyahu still believes that the effective plan is a plan in stages, such as those formulated by Steve Witkev, the American president’s envoy to the Middle East.
The ambush, in which 7 Israeli soldiers were killed by the Al -Qassam Brigades in Khan Yunis, sparked calls in Israel to conclude a deal that ends the war and brings back the Israeli prisoners detained in Gaza.
In the context, officials of the ruling coalition and the Likud Party called for ending the operations in Gaza without being drawn behind the two ministers, Etamar bin Ghafir and Bamliel Smotrich.
The Israeli Channel 12 quoted these officials that it cannot be denied that the Israelis were exhausted from the Gaza front.
The Likud party official said that if an agreement on Gaza was offered, Netanyahu will agree to it.
Security consultations
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding consultations with a mini team of ministers and senior security officials regarding the military situation in Gaza and how to move on the release of the prisoners.
Netanyahu had described the killing of the seven soldiers in Khan Yunis in a very difficult day.
In the context, Moshe Gavni, head of the Knesset Financial Committee, expressed the “Jews of Hatura” party that he was surprised by the continued fighting of Israel in the Gaza Strip, while the soldiers are killed all the time.
For its part, the Israeli Prisoners’ Families Authority in Gaza wondered how a week began with what it called a “resounding achievement” (during the war with Iran) to continue with a heavy loss of 7 soldiers in Gaza.
The commission said – in a statement – that the war in Gaza has exhausted its purposes and was managed without a clear goal or a real plan, and that it is time to have courage, return the kidnappers, and stop the fighting.
And she saw that the ceasefire agreement with Iran should include Gaza, considering that there is a historical opportunity, and that the Israeli government must seize it.
US President Donald Trump said in The Hague that progress – describing it as great – had been made about Gaza due to the strike in Iran.
Trump added – during a joint press conference with the Secretary -General of NATO (NATO), Mark Route, that his private envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkev told him that an agreement on Gaza was soon.

Hamas position
On the other hand, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said on Wednesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his fascist government are full of responsibility for the failure of an agreement until now, noting that the continuation of resistance operations in Gaza confirms the failure of the occupation to break the will of the Palestinian people.
Hamas confirmed – in a statement – that it is dealing positively with any ideas that lead to an agreement that guarantees a permanent ceasefire and a full withdrawal of the occupation forces, noting that Netanyahu and his government continue to procrastinate time.
The movement explained that the continuation of the Al -Qassam Brigades and Al -Quds Brigades in the Gaza Strip against the occupation forces “confirms the failure of the Zionist enemy to break the will and resistance of our people,” stressing that “the heroic confrontation operations that our Mujahideen are fighting demonstrates the strength and desperate of our valiant resistance and its possession of the initiative.”
In the same context, Taher Al -Nono, the media advisor to the head of the political bureau of Hamas, confirmed to Al -Jazeera Net that the mediators did not stop, saying that the movement did not receive any indications that there is a serious change in Netanyahu’s position.
Al -Nuno stressed that Hamas will not accept any agreement that does not include clear conditions on stopping the aggression, which includes 4 basic points: stopping the full aggression, the comprehensive withdrawal from the sector, reconstruction and ending the siege, and an exchange deal.
On the statements of US President Donald Trump about “good news” about Gaza, Nono said that the movement is not satisfied with the statements, adding, “We realize that President Trump and the United States have the ability to impose on Netanyahu to end the aggression and stop the war, so it does not need statements, but rather a real action.”
While Hamas has repeatedly expressed its willingness to a deal, in which the prisoners fired a permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza, Netanyahu puts several obstacles, including his demand to remove the movement of the movement, and that it does not have any role in the sector in the future.
Netanyahu is exposed to Israeli pressure, especially from the families of the prisoners and opposition leaders, amid accusations of thwarting a deal that restores the prisoners, and his insistence on continuing the war “for purposes related to his interests and political future.”
Since the seventh of October 2023, Israel has been committing a war of genocide in Gaza, which left about 188,000 Palestinians between a martyr and wounded, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and worsening famine.
