The Israeli Walla website quoted Israeli military sources as saying that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has succeeded during the past months in recruiting thousands of new fighters in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli sources said that the new Hamas fighters are receiving training from new leaders who adapt them to the Israeli army’s fighting styles, and that they are fighting with military leaders that Israel did not succeed in assassinating.
The Israeli website, citing military sources, added that in recent months, Hamas fighters have been undergoing training and establishing defensive lines against the Israeli army.
The sources continued that Hamas leaders are still operating in an unconventional manner against the occupation army forces in Gaza, stressing that Hamas has adapted itself in some areas of the southern Gaza Strip to the conditions of fighting against the occupation forces.
Last June, Israeli Army Radio military correspondent Doron Kadosh published tweets in which he addressed the issue of the Hamas movement’s rehabilitation of itself at the military level, and at the level of “restoring its control over the executive agencies” of the government in the Gaza Strip.
Kadosh explained – quoting what he said were senior security sources – that the army recognizes the efforts made by the Hamas movement to recruit and train new members in its military wing, so that they replace those who were killed or wounded in the war.
The military correspondent quoted a prominent member of the Israeli security establishment as saying that all Hamas military frameworks are recovering and are trying to rehabilitate themselves throughout the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli bombing continues on various areas of the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the continuation of bombing and blowing up homes and residential neighborhoods.
