Israeli media: Our situation has become catastrophic and the hostile trend is growing steadily News

In their discussions of the war on the Gaza Strip, Israeli media channels focused on what they described as the catastrophic situation that the Israelis are experiencing due to this war, in addition to fears of Israel losing external support, especially in the United States of America, in light of the popular rejection of the massacres it is committing against the Palestinians.

In a discussion session on the developments of the war on Gaza, Lilor Moshayev, a business owner in the Gaza Strip, expressed the bad repercussions that the war had on the Israelis, and said: “I see that our situation has become catastrophic… I do not know how to end my day to the point that I am afraid of… I used my credit card to buy baby formula for my daughter. My refrigerator is empty.”

He added that he did not receive his salary, and that he puts his life in danger every day, because bullets pass over him while he is defending everyone, as he said.

As for Alon Pinkas, the former Israeli consul in New York, he warned of the growing anti-Israel trend in Western countries against the backdrop of its aggression against the Gaza Strip and the popular reactions rejecting the aggression.

Israeli Channel 11 quoted Pinkas as saying: “The anti-Israel trend is growing steadily, and there is critical public opinion that does not see Israel as a strategic asset, but rather does not see it as a reliable ally.”

The former Israeli consul in New York acknowledged that the Israeli Air Force and intelligence cannot continue without the United States, noting that there are voices demanding that Israel be more independent and reduce this dependency and this closeness, but he warned that “those who believe that the level of American commitment to Israel as expressed “US President Joe Biden will remain like this for the next 10 years; he does not understand the changes taking place in the United States.”

Despite some warning that Israel is at risk of losing its image abroad, some voices adhere to their position calling for the continuation of the aggression against Gaza, which was expressed by Reserve General Guy Tzur, a former commander of the ground forces, who said that Israel must achieve its goal in the war. To prevent the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) from quickly regaining its strength.

He added that Israel must achieve its goals for three reasons: First, “because if it does not do so, it will prove to the enemies surrounding it that they can overcome it, and the weakness in Israel’s image will increase, and this will inflict great calamities on it,” and the second is not to shake the Israeli public’s confidence in the army.

As for the third reason, it relates – according to what the former ground forces commander told Channel 11 – to “the great price that Israel paid in the Gaza war, which is the greatest and highest price since the establishment of the State of Israel.”
