Yisrael Gantz, head of the Benjamin’s regional council, expected that the Prime Minister “Israel” will impose on the West Bank after returning from his visit to the United States.
He said in statements today, Monday, “I met the Prime Minister yesterday before heading to Washington and we agreed to hold a meeting with the Council of settlements upon his return on the issue of replacement of sovereignty.”
“The Settlements Council is a comprehensive plan attached to legal maps and legislation in cooperation with the settlement directorate of the Ministry of Defense in order to transform sovereignty into a reality,” said Gantz’s statements to the 14th Israeli channel.
He continued, “Our expectations from the Prime Minister that the historical opportunity should not be wasting, and upon his return to the Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria,” which is the biblical designation of the West Bank, which is used by the occupation.
A few days ago, members of (from the Likud Party) called on Netanyahu to ratify a government decision to annex the West Bank, before the end of the Knesset summer in 3 weeks.
This call came in an official message signed in the name of all ministers, and it is the first of its kind with this clarity and frankness by the ruling party, as it calls for “Israeli sovereignty and law” on the West Bank.
Thousands of attacks
Meanwhile, the “Wall and Settlement Resistance” Authority said that the settlers and the occupation carried out 11,80 in the West Bank during the first half of this year.
The Palestinian people are suffering from the escalation of settlers’ attacks, in light of a noticeable increase in the number of foci by nearly 40% during the current government period headed by Netanyahu.
