The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation claimed the existence of a document confirming that the Israeli army and intelligence were aware of the plan of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to carry out the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood 3 weeks before the date of the attack last October.

The Broadcasting Corporation indicated that the Gaza Division of the occupation army had prepared a document explaining Hamas’ plan and what it included in kidnapping between 200 and 250 hostages.

According to the broadcaster’s allegations, the document explained in detail the hostage-taking process and how to act in extreme cases.

It quoted a security source as saying that the document was known to the intelligence leadership and the Gaza Division leadership, at the very least.

According to the Israeli Kan channel, the Gaza Division prepared the document last September. The document reviews training for elite forces in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and includes a massive Hamas invasion into Israel and the capture of more than 200 Israelis.

A year before the October attack

This is not the first time that there has been talk about military and intelligence authorities’ knowledge of Hamas’ attack plan. Last January, the New York Times reported that the Israeli security establishment obtained more than a year ago a secret 40-page document called the “Jericho Wall” document, which includes A detailed plan to carry out an unprecedented attack against Israel similar to the October 7 attack, and talks about a barrage of missiles and drones, and the crossing of fighters with parachutes, cars and on foot.

The New York Times added that the idea of Hamas carrying out an attack was so far-fetched that Israeli intelligence officials reduced eavesdropping on Hamas’ radio communications traffic, concluding that it was a waste of time, noting that some officers and soldiers of the Gaza Division did not know that they were being attacked until they entered. Hamas fighters to their bedrooms.

Repeated allegations

Last May, Israeli Channel 12 said that the General Staff conducted an inspection of the Gaza Division bases on Wednesday morning, 72 hours before the surprise Hamas attack, noting that training had been conducted for all military sites in the Gaza Division.

She pointed out that only one military site did not receive a failure mark, referring to “Yifthah,” while the rest of the sites during the training were in a state of complete absence in the face of an incursion into military bases and sites.

The channel indicated that the training included confronting the entry of infantry or vehicles into military sites without permission, seizing combat equipment from ammunition depots, storming the control room of the operations department and the fence control room, in addition to seizing the keys to the armament rooms.

However, according to the channel, 54 male and female recruits were killed at the Nahal Oz military site and 10 others were captured, some of whom are still in the hands of Hamas, stressing that the army was unable to correct the failures it inspected and discovered several days ago.
