US President Donald Trump’s comments about an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program and avoiding military action with Iran have sparked Israel’s concern, which considered that the matter was “being in haste”, but it received American assurances that it shared the commitment to ensure that Tehran does not have a nuclear weapon.
The Israeli Channel 12 reported today, Friday, that Israel “is following with increasing concern for the progress of talks between Washington and Tehran,” and quoted an Israeli official as saying, “We are at a critical turn in nuclear negotiations, so Washington is rushing to reach agreements, and this should not be at the expense of Israel.”
The Israeli channel reported that despite Israel’s attempts to make its voice heard, it is not certain that anyone listens to it, and said that senior Israeli officials are deeply concerned about the recent Trump administration’s statements regarding Iran and Gaza.
Meanwhile, it indicated Israeli attempts to influence the American administration in relation to the nuclear agreement with Iran.

For his part, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he had spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the Gulf tour of Trump.
In the context, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tami Bruce indicated in a statement that Rubio “stressed the deep commitment to the United States to its historical relationship with Israel and the strong American support for its security.”
She explained that Rubio and Netanyahu “expressed their mutual commitment to ensuring that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon.”
In comments to “Fox News”, Rubio said that President Trump “giving Iran an opportunity to become a prosperous and peaceful country, and hopes that this opportunity will take advantage of”, adding that Trump will be He said that the American offer of Iran “will not continue forever.”
He continued, “At some point we will have to make decisions on more maximum pressure on Iran and other options,” stressing that “Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon, and Trump made it clear that the Iranian regime will not have a nuclear weapon, and we hope that this will be done through negotiation and diplomacy.”
The US Secretary of State considered that the decision on the Iranian nuclear program “in the hands of the supreme guide, and I hope that he will choose the path of peace and prosperity, not the devastating path.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqji also announced yesterday that his country does not oppose the work of American companies in its territory, including in the oil and gas sector.
“We did not prevent the economic presence of American companies in Iran,” Araqji said, attributing the absence of American commercial activities to the sanctions imposed by Washington on Tehran.
He pointed out that the main sanctions prevent American entities and individuals from dealing with the Iranian market, and said that “this ban was imposed by the United States itself.”
It is noteworthy that Washington and Tehran began last April talks aimed at reaching a new agreement on Iran’s nuclear program after Trump suggested that the military option may be resorted to if negotiation fails.
