Israeli forces have killed at least 32 Palestinians in Gaza since dawn, including 11 people who burned to death inside their house in Khan Younis, and made air strikes that destroyed the equipment used to recover the dead under rubble.
Seven members of a family were also killed Tuesday by an aerial descent at the house where they were housed in the west of the city of Gaza. Three civilians, including two girls, were killed when Israeli war planes targeted a group of people in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Later, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the Israeli army had bombed the USI of the Al-Durra children’s hospital in the Al-Tuffah district of Gaza City around midnight. An Israeli air strike has also targeted solar panels in the establishment, the ministry said in an article on Telegram.
Philippe Lazzarini, the general commissioner of the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, warned that more than two million people – mainly women and children – were collectively punished.
“Gaza has become a land of despair,” he said on X.
Nearly 3,000 UNRWA and Humanitarian Aid Trucks have been stuck outside Gaza, unable to enter while food and medication inside the band are quickly exhausted.
“Hunger spreads,” said Lazzarini. “Humanitarian aid is used as a negotiation chip – a weapon of war.”
The UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanian, warned that the restraint of humanitarian aid is a war crime. “This action would further worsen the calculated living conditions to destroy the Palestinian population of Gaza.”
Hamas criticized the current blockade in Israel, which started on March 2. “The Gaza Strip faces an unprecedented humanitarian disaster,” the group said in a statement, citing serious shortages of food, water, fuel and medication.
He added that the seat as well as the daily attacks against shelters, hospitals and residential areas constitute a “premeditated crime” by the Israeli management.
Hamas has also blamed the situation on “political, moral and humanitarian insufficiency” on the part of the international community and called on the UN and other institutions to put pressure on Israel to raise the blockage of aid.
“Eradicate whole families”
Tareq Abu Azzoum of Tel Aviv Tribune, reporting from Deir El-Balah, in the center of Gaza, said: “The situation takes place quickly on the ground. What we see is really extraordinary in terms of very huge momentum of air strikes and artillery bombings that have been seen in the past 24 hours. ”
“What we understand is that the Israeli army has launched huge waves of air strikes with the last targeting a group of Palestinians-three were confirmed in the strike, including two girls under 14,” he added.
“It was quite obvious that these attacks are focused on the eradication of whole families (as in the attack on Khan Younis) – we are talking about four destitute generations – and also a more systematic escalation took place to target heavy machines which were authorized to enter Gaza during the first phase of Gaza Ceasefire Deal”, said Azzzoum.
Bulldozers used to recover the destroyed dead
The Civil Defense of Gaza said that Israel has also targeted bulldozers used in humanitarian operations, including the elimination of rubble and the recovery of bodies.
Nine bulldozers brought to Gaza of Egypt during a six-week ceasefire that Israel ended on March 18 was destroyed during the Israeli attacks against the garage of the municipality of Jabalia al-Nazlh in northern Gaza.
“An agreement had already been concluded with the Egyptian-Qatari committee concerning the site of the Bulldozers shelters,” he said, noting that their contact details had been shared with Israel.
“The targeting of the municipal seat by Israeli occupation planes and the bombing of heavy equipment designated for the rescue and elimination of rubble, including bulldozers and other machines, is a criminal continuation of the war of extermination,” added the group in a press release.
The Israeli army said that heavy equipment destroyed during night attacks against Gaza was used “for terrorist purposes”.
Thirty rights defense groups, including Oxfam, Medical Aid for Palestinians and Actionaid, published a press release saying that Israel had intensified its violence in Gaza and the occupied West Bank despite the United Nations General Assembly having required an end to the occupation by Israel of the Palestinian territory within 12 months.
World leaders must act urgently to “respect their legal and legal responsibilities”, according to the press release.
