Israeli Army Radio said that two American soldiers were injured in a work accident in the floating dock area off the Gaza Strip, noting that they were transferred to Israel for treatment.
This is the first time that an incident like this has been revealed since the United States began work on constructing the floating dock off Gaza several weeks ago.
Last March, US President Joe Biden announced the start of construction of this pier, which 1,000 American soldiers participated in constructing, at a cost of about $320 million.
A few days ago, the US Army announced that its forces had transferred about 570 tons of aid through the temporary dock off the coast of Gaza, since its inauguration.
The US Central Command (Centcom) said that the temporary dock will contribute to increasing the volume of aid provided and meeting the urgent needs of the population in Gaza.
The floating port, also called the pier, raises a lot of controversy about its feasibility and goals, and the residents of Gaza received news of the pier with feelings between hope and skepticism.

It was announced for the first time by US President Joe Biden, who said in his State of the Union address on March 7 that the US army would establish a temporary port on the coast of Gaza.
On March 8, the Pentagon said that Biden’s plan may take about 60 days to be implemented, and more than 1,000 American soldiers will participate in it.
On April 3, the US State Department said that the attack that killed 7 relief workers at the World Central Kitchen Foundation on April 1 would not affect US efforts to build the pier.
On April 25, the Pentagon said that US forces had begun building the pier off the coast of Gaza.
On April 29, a US defense official said that estimates of the cost of building the dock had risen to $320 million.
On May 1, the Pentagon said that the US Army had built more than 50% of the floating dock to that day.
On May 3, the US Army said it had temporarily suspended construction of the pier off the coast due to weather conditions.
On May 9, the US-flagged ship Sagamore carrying aid sailed from the port of Larnaca in Cyprus.
On May 16, it was announced that the pier had been installed on a beach in Gaza.
On May 17, US Central Command announced the movement of the first humanitarian aid trucks across the floating dock into the Gaza Strip.
She explained that the operation comes as part of an ongoing multinational effort to provide additional aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza through the sea corridor of a completely humanitarian nature, which includes aid donated by a number of countries and humanitarian organizations.
On May 21, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Tuesday that more than 569 metric tons of humanitarian aid had been delivered to Gaza through the temporary dock so far.
The US Central Command added that the United States, Britain, the UAE, the European Union and many other partners donated this aid.
