Israeli analyst: The current fighting style in Gaza means the death of more of our soldiers News

Israeli military analyst Amos Harel said that the continuation of fighting in the current form in the Gaza Strip means more deaths among Israeli soldiers.

In an article published by Haaretz newspaper on Monday, Harel said that there will be a flood of news about the death of Israeli soldiers in Gaza if the battles continue in the current manner, as the Israeli army is suffering increasing numbers of deaths and injuries.

He added that the danger to Israel will grow when doubts begin to appear over time about the ability to achieve the goals of the military operation in Gaza, most notably the defeat of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the recovery of detainees.

The Israeli analyst pointed out that the possibility of a change in the nature of Israeli military operations in Gaza next month will raise doubts about the possibility of achieving the declared goals of the ground incursion into the Strip.

Harel said that at this stage, it appears that the Hamas movement is not ready to make concessions, at a time when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the pillars of his government insist that only continued military pressure will push the movement to show flexibility.

He continued that although Israel and the United States did not provide any details regarding the ongoing talks between them regarding the time horizon of the war, it is clear that the talks have set a deadline for the start of the next phase of the war.

The Israeli military analyst said that this is supposed to happen in mid-January, after which the nature of Israeli offensive operations in Gaza will change and diminish.
