Israel transformed Gaza into “children’s and hungry cemetery”: head of UNRWA | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

Israel generates a “cruel and Machiavellian regime to kill” in Gaza, the head of the United Nations Agency for Palestinian refugees, according to the World Organization, reports that since May, some 800 Palestinians have been killed in the search for aid.

“Under our watch, Gaza has become the children’s (and) children’s cemetery,” UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini said on Friday.

Gaza’s people have “no way,” he said. “Their choice is between 2 deaths: hunger or being (shot) in.”

Lazzarini reacted to the murder of the Israeli army of 15 people, including nine children and four women, when they were waiting for nutritional supplements in the city of Deir El-Balah on Thursday in the center of Gaza.

His comments came another bloody day in the strip, medical sources reporting that 45 people had been killed – 11 of them near a help center led by GHF in Rafah.

The controversial GHF supported by the United States and Israel has actually sidelined the vast network of delivery of aid by Gaza in Gaza since it started its operations in May, after Israel has attenuated a total blockage of more than two months on the band.

Since then, 819 Palestinians have been killed while waiting for food, the spokesman for the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said on Friday. He said that 634 were killed near the GHF sites – of which there are four for the whole enclave – and 185 were killed near other humanitarian aid, some of which were led by the UN.

Earlier in the day, Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the United Nations Human Rights Office, said the UN, the UN had recorded 798 murders close to aid points in Gaza.

Israeli soldiers and American entrepreneurs working with the GHF admitted to having shot on the non -armed Palestinians gathering for food, according to recent reports distinct from the Israeli point of sale Haaretz and the Associated Press news agency.

The UN reports in New York, Gabriel Elizondo of Tel Aviv Tribune, said that Carl Skau, deputy executive director of the World Food Program (WFP), had given a briefing in which he declared that the situation in Gaza was “the worst he ever saw”.

Skau, who had just returned from his fourth trip to Gaza, said that the WFP had enough food to feed the whole population of Gaza for two months, but that the trucks were not let in.

Instead, the Gaza Palestinians were forced to count on the GHF.

‘A second nakba’

The magnitude of the murder on GHF sites appeared while Israel has advanced its plans for what it calls a “humanitarian city” – compared by analysts to a concentration camp – to be built on the ruins of the southern city of Rafah.

The satellite images analyzed by Tel Aviv Tribune show large expanses of land in Rafah which emerge from the buildings, apparently in preparation for the forced transfer of the Palestinians.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz told journalists this week that the area would finally house the population of 2.1 million inhabitants of Gaza.

British Israeli analyst Daniel Levy, president of the American / Middle East project, noted that the three GHF aid centers located in the south were an integral part of a plan to bait the Palestinians to go to Rafah.

“The positioning of these GHF distribution sites is a premeditated part of a demographic social engineering plan to move the Palestinians – to move, move and bubble them – in this southern area,” he told Tel Aviv Tribune.

Rafah, he said, was used as a “staging position” to “ethnically clean” the Palestinians of the rest of Gaza. “We seem to witness a second Nakba,” he said.

The GHF, for its part, boasted on Friday that it “reinvented” the delivery of aid. “Our secure and innovative channels mean that help is placed directly in the hands of those who need it desperately,” said the group on X.

“On the verge of death every day”

Friday evening, 45 people – including the 11 killed on the GHF site in Rafah – had been killed in the enclave since dawn, according to medical sources that spoke in Tel Aviv Tribune.

Among the killed, at least eight people died after Israel bombed the Halimah al-Saadiyah school in Jabalia An-Nazla, who housed the move. The soldiers hit the night when people were sleeping.

Witness Ahmed Khalla told Tel Aviv Tribune that he had found dead lying on the ground of a classroom, coming on scenes that he described as “beyond horrible”, including “a little girl without head – literally, headless”.

At least one Palestinian was killed and others were injured as a result of an Israeli attack that targeted a house on Jaffa Street in the Tuffah region, east of Gaza City. Sources at the Arab Hospital of Al-Ahli told Tel Aviv Tribune that the victim was a child.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement that patients in the enclave hospitals “continue to be placed on the verge of death every day” due to a lack of fuel.

He said that, as hospitals are forced to ration the fuel, this leads to cutting electricity in certain departments and to interrupt certain services, including renal dialysis treatments.

“It also reduces the ability to exploit a sufficient number of ambulances, forcing citizens to transport the wounded and patients in carts drawn from animals,” the statement said.

Israeli restrictions on access to humanitarian aid in Gaza endangered countless lives, said Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN guterres.

“Such refusals are fatal,” he said at a press conference, stressing that “every day, constantly the fire brings more avoidable deaths to Gaza, children dying of pain and hungry people fired while trying to reach the aid net” by Israel.
