Yesterday evening, Sunday, the Israeli occupation army stormed Palestinian cities and towns in several governorates in the West Bank, and armed clashes broke out in Balata camp, and the army used bullets and tear gas bombs during confrontations in other areas.
Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that an Israeli military force consisting of several vehicles “stormed the eastern area of Nablus, including Balata camp.”
They added that “sounds of gunfire and armed clashes were heard throughout the camp, coinciding with the occupation forces’ storming.”
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Palestine Liberation Movement (Fatah), said via their Telegram channels that their fighters clashed with the invading forces and detonated explosive devices.
Raids and bullets
The Israeli occupation army carried out raids on the villages and towns of Qaryut, Salem, Osarin, Beita, and Sarra in the Nablus Governorate, in addition to the city of Nablus (the governorate’s center), according to the official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa).
During the raids, the army fired sound bombs and tear gas at citizens, without any information about injuries, according to the agency.
In the central West Bank, the agency said that clashes erupted between Palestinians and the army in the villages of Beit Liqya, west of Ramallah, and Burqa, east of the city, during which the occupation soldiers fired bullets at the citizens, without any injuries being reported.
It also reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
In the eastern West Bank, the agency reported that the Israeli occupation forces arrested the child Louay Hamed Ahmed Masaeed (12 years old) and his father after raiding their home in the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of the city of Jericho.
In the south, eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli force stormed the village of Abu al-Asja, south of Hebron, and abused a Palestinian family. They explained that the occupation soldiers stormed a house, assaulted its residents, and conducted a search inside, which led to the destruction of some of its contents.
Since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in a total of 703 Palestinians killed, including 159 children, about 5,700 wounded, and about 10,700 arrested, according to official Palestinian data.
