Israeli authorities are ready to “discuss” the truce plan proposed by Egypt.

The information was revealed by several local media outlets as the IDF continued its operations in the Gaza Strip.

In central Gaza, in Maghazi, Hamas announces the death of at least 60 people in an Israeli strike.

In its reports, Hamas does not distinguish between civilian victims and combatants.

According to Israeli media, the Egyptian plan provides for a two-week truce and the release of 40 Hamas hostages in exchange for 120 Palestinian prisoners.

Cairo’s proposal envisages a possible extension of the truce.

Egypt is also ready to sponsor inter-Palestinian talks with a view to bringing Fatah and Hamas closer together.

The objective is to consider the establishment of a “technocratic” government and to pave the way for elections.

Islamic Jihad officials arrived in Cairo to participate in the negotiations.
