The last forced evacuation orders occur while Israel increases its military operation in Gaza after having broken the ceasefire.
Israel has announced new forced evacuation orders for Rafah in southern Gaza, while the army said it was planning to extend its renewed assault against the enclave.
The army’s Arab language spokesman Avichay Adraee announced Monday morning on Monday morning that the army was returning to “fight with great strength” in Rafah, one of the largest cities of Gaza and the surrounding regions.
He called on the Palestinians to move immediately to shelter in Al-Mawasi on the coast. The region is regularly under Israeli fire during the war in Gaza, although it is designated as a “security zone”.
Shortly after the evacuation order, Tel Aviv Tribune Arabic reported that at least two people had been killed during an Israeli attack on a tent that housed people in the region.
Last week, the United Nations Humanitarian Agency (OCHA) reported that 142,000 people had been moved since Israel renewed its war against the enclave on March 18, breaking the fragile ceasefire in January.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that more than 900 people had been killed since the bombing resumed. This has brought the number of deaths since the war in October 2023 to more than 50,000, he told.
Hamas’ October 7 attack against southern Gaza killed 1,139 people, and around 250 were taken captive, triggering the Israeli assault.
Grim eid celebrations
The Israeli attacks continued to rain on Gaza while the Palestinians observe Eid al-Fitr, a three-day vacation marking the end of the Sacred Muslim month of Ramadan.
On Sunday, the first day of Eid, at least 64 Palestinians were killed. Monday morning, the situation in Gaza had the same dark perspectives, with at least nine people who were killed in Israeli attacks.
Reporting Deir El-Balah in the center of Gaza, the Hind Khoudary of Tel Aviv Tribune explained that the other main city in the south of Gaza, the Israeli forces attacked “at least seven different families”.
“There have also been endless artillery bombings in the central parties of the Gaza Strip, in Nuseirat, as well as in the region very close to the Corridor of Netzarim,” she said, adding that explosions were heard in Deir El-Balah, and three farmers were killed in the region.
In Beit Hanoon, in the north of Gaza, the children who once celebrated the joyful opportunity of Eid now spend the holidays in fear.
“We are too afraid of approaching the beach in case the Israelis bombing us,” Wissam Nassar told Tel Aviv Tribune.
Hussein Alkafarna added: “We do not feel any joy this EID. We cannot get new clothes, not to mention the constant fear in which we live. ” The Palestinians inspect the site of an Israeli attack on a house in Khan Younis in the southern band of Gaza (Hatem Khaled / Reuters)
