Israel kills more than 70 in Gaza, including 16 in attack on the family home | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

The Israeli raids through Gaza killed at least 75 Palestinians, the rescuers rushing to find dozens of bodies under the rubble after the attack of a residential building in Gaza City described by the civil defense of the enclave as a “full -fledged massacre”.

Palestinian Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud told Tel Aviv Tribune that the Israeli army had given “no warning, no alert” before the house strike in the house in the Sabra of Gaza City who left at least 16 people, including women and children.

“This is really a full massacre … A building full of civilians,” said Basel, who added that around 85 people would be trapped under the rubble.

“We woke up to strikes, destruction, howls, rocks that strike us,” said Hamed Keheel, a Palestinian moved to the site, noting that the attack had taken place on the second day of Eid al-Adha.

“This is the occupation,” he said. “Instead of waking up to encourage our children and dress them to take advantage of Eid, we wake up to transport the women and bodies of children under the rubble.”

Local resident Hassan Alkhor told Tel Aviv Tribune that the building belonged to the Abu Sharia family.

“May God hold the Israeli forces and (Israeli Prime Minister) Netanyahu responsible,” he said.

The Journal Times of Israel quoted the Israeli army saying that it had killed the best Palestinian fighter Asaad Abu Sharia in the attack. Abu Sharia was the chief of the Mujahideen brigades, who, according to the soldiers, had participated in the attack led by Hamas on October 7 against Israel in 2023.

Hamas confirmed the murder in a shared statement on Telegram, saying that Abu Sharia’s brother Ahmed Abu Sharia had also been murdered in the attack, which, according to him, was “part of a series of brutal massacres against civilians”.

“ A handful of rice for our hungry children ”

Also on Saturday, Israeli forces killed at least eight Palestinians while waiting for near a help distribution site managed by Gaza Humanitarian Foundation supported by the United States (GHF) in Rafah in southern Gaza. The attack was the last in a series of fatal incidents around group operations that killed 118 people and left other people who have disappeared in less than two weeks.

Gaza resident Samir Abu Hadid told the AFP news agency that thousands of people had gathered at the Al-Alam roundabout near the aid site.

“As soon as some people tried to move towards the aid center, the Israelis (forces) opened fire from armored vehicles parked near the center, pulling in the air and then on civilians,” said Abu Hadid.

A woman told Tel Aviv Tribune that her husband was killed during the attack after going to the point of help to get “a handful of rice for our hungry children”.

“He said he felt that he was walking towards death, I begged him not to leave. He insisted to find anything to feed our children,” she said.

The GHF, a private group supported by the United States hired by Israel to distribute the aid under the protection of its troops and security entrepreneurs, began its operations at the end of May, to replace the existing networks managed by the United Nations and charities that have worked for decades.

Critics say that the group does not respect the humanitarian principles of neutrality, claiming that its operations have armed aid, serving the declared objectives of Israel to clean ethnically large expanses of Gaza and to control the entire enclave.

The GHF said on Saturday that it was unable to distribute humanitarian aid because Hamas had published “direct threats” against its operations. “These threats have made it impossible to continue today without putting innocent lives in danger,” he said in a statement.

Hamas told the reuters news agency that it had no knowledge of these “alleged threats”.

The United Nations, who refused to cooperate with the GHF, warned that most of the 2.3 million people in Gaza risk famine after an 11 -week Israeli blockage, with the rate of young children suffering from acute malnutrition almost tripled.

“Lost future generation”

While Israel continued his attacks in the middle of imminent famine, it appeared that the health authorities had recorded more than 300 false layers over a period of 80 days in the enclave.

Pregnant women risk an increased risk of miscarriage and premature births, with basic medical supplies such as iron supplements and prenatal vitamins that are impossible to obtain.

Brenda Kelly, an obstetrician consulting at the Oxford University Hospital, told Tel Aviv Tribune that Gaza “lost a future generation of children”, referring to an “amazing increase” of the mortinagites, false layers and births before term.

“What we see now is the direct repercussions of hunger by Israel in Gaza-an impact on the growth and restriction of babies’ growth is one of the main causes of false strata and mortinity,” she said.

Severe malnutrition in pregnant women is aggravated by severe stress and psychological trauma, as well as repeated displacement and a sure shelter, she said.

Surviving babies face increased risk for health. “We know that famine has experienced an uro-utering has life consequences for children who then go to adulthood with much higher risks of cardiovascular and diabetes diseases, as well as mental health disorders,” she said.
