Israel kills 41 in Gaza attacks, using “drone missiles filled with nails” | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

At least 41 Palestinians have been killed since dawn through Israeli attacks, medical sources told Tel Aviv Tribune, because the decimated health system for the besieged and bombed enclave, overwhelmed by a daily flow of injured, obliges doctors to make decisions on which to deal with first.

On Friday, during the last murders, three people died during an Israeli attack on the Tuffah district in eastern Gaza City. Five people were also killed in an Israeli air attack in Jabalia An-Nazla in northern Gaza.

Earlier, an Israeli attack struck tents housing the Palestinians displaced in Al -Mawasi, in the south of Gaza – previously designated a so -called “safe zone” – triggering a major fire and killing at least five people, including infants. Al-Mawasi has become a repeated and fatal Israeli fire.

The number of deaths also includes 10 people who were desperately looking for help.

Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent Hani Mahmoud said that the injured, including the children, had been transferred to Nasser Hospital. Some have shown injuries compatible with drone attacks.

“Drone missiles are filled with nails, metals and shells that explode at high speed, causing internal bleeding,” said Mahmoud. “These attacks are increasing and target people in large crowds, on the markets or during the water queue.

“While Israel claims to use sophisticated weapons, when we look at the field, we see the number of victims contradicting what Israel is (saying),” he added.

“What should we do?” Die at home?

The current and punishing blockade of Israel of Gaza obliges doctors in medical installations piled up to make difficult decisions to deal with.

Patients with chronic diseases are often the first to be missed because emergency services are overwhelmed by people injured in Israeli attacks.

“Before the war, I used to receive dialysis three times a week, each session lasting four hours. At that time, the situation was stable, the treatment was effective and we returned to the house and we rested,” said Omda Dagmash, a dialysis patient, in Tel Aviv Tribune at the Al-Shifa hospital barely working barely.

“Now we can barely make the trip to the hospital, especially since we don’t eat well.”

In Al-Shifa, the dialysis calendar has been reduced to shorter and less frequent sessions. For some, it is a question of life and death.

“The trip here is long and expensive,” said Rowaida Minyawi, an elderly patient. “After all this exhaustion, we sometimes do not find treatment. I have heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. Even the medication we get is not good. What should we do? Die at home? “

In addition to priority to patients, health workers say they must change operations to a minimum, because no fuel does not mean power – and no way to save lives.

“Only a few departments work. We had to reduce electricity to the rest,” said Ziad Abu Humidan, of the hospital engineering service.

“Hospital lessons have turned into cemeteries rather than a place of care and healing. Without electricity, there is no lighting, no functional medical equipment and no support for other essential services. ”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that an unprecedented number of hungry people of all ages arrived in emergency services with extreme exhaustion and fatigue. He said hundreds were “emaciated” and at risk of death due to malnutrition.

Mohammad Abu Salmiya, director of the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, said patients “suffered from stress and memory loss resulting from severe hunger”.

Decline support in Israel for war

According to a survey of public opinion led by the Israeli media Maariv, around 44% of the Israeli public said that the war continues in Gaza will not reach the objectives of the country.

In total, 42% of those questioned said they thought that fighting will lead to achieving the objectives, while 11% of respondents said they were indecisive.

Maariv also noted that among those who support the current coalition government, 73% believe that soldiers will achieve its objectives, while 70% of opposition supporters think the opposition.

Meanwhile, Israel faced a rare counterpoup after bombing the only Catholic church in Gaza, killing three people and injured at least 10 on Thursday.

President of the United States, Donald Trump, contacted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after “was not a positive reaction” to the strike, according to the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

After the call, Netanyahu awarded the strike to “wandering ammunition” and added that Israel was investigating the incident.

Netanyahu called Pope Leo on Friday, said the Vatican. During the appeal, the pontiff renewed his call for a cease-fire and the end of the war in Gaza, and expressed his concern about the “dramatic” humanitarian situation in the enclave, said a Vatican statement.

Leo also underlined the urgent need to protect places of worship, the faithful and all the inhabitants of the Palestinian territories and Israel, added the declaration.

Hamas criticized the attack as “a new crime committed against places of worship and innocent displaced people” which presents itself in the context of a “war of extermination against the Palestinian people”.

The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Pierbattista Pizzaballa and the Greek Orthodox Patriarch Theophilos III entered Gaza on Friday to express the “shared pastoral solicitude of the churches of the Holy Land”, read a declaration published by the Latin patriarchy of Jerusalem. The patriarchs and their delegation visited the Catholic Church of the Holy Family, the site of the Israeli attack.
