Israel informed the United States of its last attack on Gaza before it occurred, according to the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt.

Israel consulted the United States before launching massive air raids on the Gaza Strip during the night.

The press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, said the Israeli government late Monday informed the US imminent assault.

The wave of bombing, which killed at least 404 people according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, broke the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which was negotiated by the United States, Qatar and Egypt and implemented in January.

“The Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis during their attacks in Gaza tonight,” Leavitt told Fox News.

“As President Trump clearly said, Hamas, Houthis, Iran-all those who seek to terrorize not only Israel, but also the United States of America-will see a price to pay: all hell will stand out,” she said.

Hamas said it considered Israeli attacks as a unilateral cancellation of the ceasefire.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered strikes due to a lack of progress in talks to extend the ceasefire.

‘No second step’

Last month, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported that Israel had informed the United States that it was not attached to the ceasefire.

According to the newspaper, the Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, told Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff: “Israel is not engaged in the plan in three stages … even if he signed it.”

“The Netanyahu’s plan, as Dermer presented it to Witkoff, is as follows: free all the remaining hostages in a single large stage.

If this request is not satisfied, the Israeli Prime Minister would resort to plan B: a “return to an intense war”, he continued, adding that “as regards Netanyahu, there is no second step” of the cease-fire agreement.

Witkoff recently warned that Hamas had to immediately release the living captives “or pay a serious price”.

Following the news from the United States that she had been consulted, Hamas condemned Washington in a statement published on Tuesday, accusing her of “direct partnership in the war of extermination against our people”.

The armed Palestinian group said that the “confession … exposes the falsity of the (in the United States) affirms the birth of calming (things)” and called on the “international community … to take urgent measures to maintain the occupation and those who support it responsible for these crimes against humanity”.
