Negotiations are underway for a truce in exchange for the release of some of the Hamas hostages while intense fighting continues on the ground.

In the north, the IDF says it killed around fifteen Hamas militiamen in the space of 24 hours and destroyed one of their base hidden in a school.
In the south, the area around the Nasser hospital in Khan Younes is another focal point for clashes and the WHO says it has not been able to supply the hospital.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director: “Yesterday we tried again to get food to Nasser, but due to delays about 500 meters from the checkpoint, the food was taken from the trucks by crowds who also need food.”
According to Israel, Hamas leaders are hiding in Khan Yunis and the fighting has forced UNRWA to leave the city.
Thomas White, director of UNRWA in Gaza: “In recent days, UNRWA has had to move its operations out of the town of Khan Younes, in the western part of the city. We have lost a health center, shelters important – facilities that supported the population of Khan Yunis.”

Hope comes today from Egypt where Hamas leader Ismaïl Haniyeh must examine a truce proposal.
The terrorist organization is expected to release around forty hostages in exchange for the release of 200 to 300 Palestinian prisoners.
