Dozens of Palestinians were martyred with the escalation of Israeli bombing on various areas in the Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that the number of child martyrs exceeded 15,000 since the beginning of the war.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that 10 people were martyred, including a pregnant woman and her fetus, in a raid that targeted a gathering of displaced people in the town of Zawaida in the center of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent added that the bodies of a number of martyrs, including a mother and her fetus, arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, in addition to wounded people, some of whom were in serious condition. This comes after the occupation forces bombed a factory that was housing displaced people in the Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip.

The reporter also said that occupation aircraft and artillery bombed the Al-Brazil neighborhood, the Yabna and Al-Shaboura camps in central Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and the Al-Salam neighborhood, south of the city.

He added that major clashes were taking place between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation army, amid heavy gunfire in the city.

In the northern Gaza Strip, 4 citizens were martyred and more than 20 were injured, including women and children, in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house for the Al-Shoubaki family in the Al-Sahaba area in central Gaza City.

In the Jabalia camp, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that an Israeli bombing targeted a house for the Abu Zaida family in the Bir Na’ja area, leaving 6 martyrs and a number of others injured and missing.

The reporter added that the occupation forces continue to besiege Al Awda Hospital for the third day in a row.

On the other hand, Kamal Adwan Hospital and its surrounding areas in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, were subjected to Israeli bombing, which prompted the staff to hurriedly evacuate the sick and wounded under heavy gunfire.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced this morning that a soldier was seriously injured in battles in the northern Gaza Strip.

Yesterday evening, the occupation army announced that three soldiers were seriously injured in the Gaza Strip and said that forces from the 98th Division were continuing their fighting in the Jabalia area, while the 99th Division was fighting in the center of the Gaza Strip.

In the Rafah area, the Israeli army said that forces from the 162nd Division were continuing their military operations there.

15 thousand martyrs

In a related context, the Palestinian Red Crescent said – on the X platform – that more than 15,000 children have been martyred since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on the 7th of last October.

The United Nations warned that the Gaza Strip was turning into a cemetery for children, and demanded an immediate ceasefire to protect them.

She also said that the number of children killed in Gaza – in the past months – exceeds that of conflicts in the world during the last 4 years.

Aid stops

In turn, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced yesterday the cessation of food distribution in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, due to a lack of supplies and lack of security as a result of the Israeli military operation east of the city.

The agency confirmed – via the X platform – that it is currently difficult to reach the UNRWA distribution center and the World Food Program warehouse located in the city as a result of the Israeli military operation.

UNRWA explained that only 7 health centers are operating out of 24 centers affiliated with it in the Strip, and that it has not received any medical supplies during the past ten days due to the closure of the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings.

The crossing of aid through the Rafah crossing stopped after the occupation army took control of the Palestinian side of it on May 7, while Israel closed the Kerem Shalom crossing to aid movement on the fifth of the same month.

Israel allowed only a limited number of private sector commercial trucks to enter the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, twice on May 15 and 18.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza with absolute American support, leaving more than 115,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues the war on Gaza despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and despite the fact that the International Court of Justice asked it to take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
