Israel allowed food limited to Gaza in the middle of the intensification of the military offensive | Gaza News

Israel said that it will allow limited food supplies to Gaza by announcing the launch of an intensified soil offensive in the beaten Palestinian enclave.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that allies’ pressure was behind this decision. Late the day before, his office said that Israel would open the way for food to enter the Gaza Strip after an army “recommendation”.

The announcement occurred shortly after the launch of the Israeli army, “extensive land operations” which would have killed more than 150 people in the last 24 hours.

“Israel will allow a fundamental quantity of fundamental food to ensure that a hunger crisis is not developing in the Gaza Strip,” Netanyahu’s office said on a statement on Sunday.

Allies pressure

The announcement comes in the middle of the assembly of international pressure on Israel to raise a two -month seat which threatens widespread famine in the besieged territory.

Netanyahu declared on Monday in a video address that this decision came after the “allies” had expressed their concern concerning the “images of hunger”.

The “greatest friends in the world” in Israel, he said without mentioning specific countries, said that there was “something that we cannot bear. We cannot accept images of hunger, mass hunger. We cannot bear this. We will not be able to support you. ”

“Therefore, to win the victory, we have to somehow solve the problem,” said Netanyahu.

The aid that would be let in Gaza would be “minimal,” he said, without specifying precisely when the supplies resume.

A spokesperson for the head of the United Nations, Tom Fletcher, confirmed that the agency had been approached by Israel to “resume the delivery of limited aid”, adding that discussions continue on logistics, “given the conditions on the ground”.

Mnir Al-Bursh, the director general of the Ministry of Health of Gaza, said that the Palestinian authorities had not been informed when the border was opened, Tel Aviv Tribune Arabic reported.

Netanyahu’s extreme right allies are opposed to authorizing it any supply to Gaza, insisting that military power and hunger will obtain victory over Hamas.

The Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir described the decision to authorize food limited to the enclave as a “serious error”.

The Minister of Heritage Amichai Eliyahu, of Ben-Gvir’s party, denounced the plan as a “tragedy”, claiming that it directly harms the war effort to win “in Gaza.

Israel was accused of armed hunger and using the blockade to try to ethnically clean the enclave.

Despite the blockade and intensification of the military offensive, sources on both sides told the Reuters news agency that there had been no progress in a new series of indirect talks between Israel and Hamas in Qatar.

Netanyahu said that talks included discussions on a truce and an agreement on the captives, as well as a proposal to end the war, in exchange for the exile of Hamas and the demilitarization of the enclave – the terms of Hamas have already rejected.

The Israeli army has suggested in a subsequent declaration that it could still reduce operations to help conclude an agreement in Doha, Qatar.

However, Netanyahu stressed in her video address that the objective of the intensified offensive is that the forces of Israel “take control of all” from Gaza.

“The fights are intense and we are progressing. We will take control of all the territories of the band,” he said. “We will not give up. But to succeed, we must act in a way that cannot be stopped. ”

During last week, the Israeli army said that it had made a preliminary wave of strikes on more than 670 targets from Hamas to Gaza. He said he had killed dozens of Hamas fighters.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said that from week to Sunday, at least 464 Palestinians had been killed, including many women and children.

Monday morning, sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that at least 23 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza since dawn, including five near the Al-Faluja market in Jabalia and six in Khan Younis.

There have also been Israeli attack reports in and around the Nasser medical complex, and targeting the intensive care unit at the Indonesian hospital, where at least 55 people are trapped, including four doctors and eight nurses.
