The Israeli army announced what it described as minor damage to the Meron air control base in Galilee as a result of shells fired from Lebanon on Tuesday morning.
He said in a statement, “The launching of several missiles that violated the borders from Lebanese territory was monitored, and some of them were successfully intercepted.” He added, “Slight damage was caused to infrastructure at an air force base.”
The Israeli army stated that the strike did not damage the air force’s surveillance capabilities, without further details.
For its part, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced – in a statement – that it had targeted, with a large number of missiles, the Meron air control base in Jabal al-Jarmaq for the second time, “in response to the recent assassinations in Lebanon and Syria and the repeated attacks on civilians and homes in their steadfast villages.”
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that sirens sounded in several towns near the Lebanese border, including Meron, Eilon, Adamit, and Goren, and added that the remains of 15 rockets were found that were fired in the morning towards the northern region.

Hezbollah had bombed the same base with more than 60 missiles following the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), in an Israeli raid on a building in the southern suburb of Beirut at the beginning of this January.
Hezbollah entered into a confrontation with Israel following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7th and the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza.
The authorities were forced to evacuate tens of thousands of Israelis from settlements and towns near the border with Lebanon.
Israeli officials threatened to launch a massive military operation if a settlement was not reached that would remove Hezbollah fighters from the border beyond the Litani River, while the party waved a strong response.
