The Israeli army monitored two projectiles fired from the northern Gaza Strip towards Israel today, Friday, in an incident that is the latest of its kind in recent days.

An army statement said: “A projectile landed near the Niram community, while the other projectile fell in an open area. No casualties were recorded.”

Since last week, Israel has been announcing the monitoring of rocket launches from the north of the besieged and destroyed Palestinian Strip.

The Israeli army also said that it had carried out an attempt to intercept a missile launched from the center of the Gaza Strip at Kibbutz Be’eri, on the border of the Gaza Strip, indicating that it was examining the results of this attempt.

Israeli Army Radio said that militants of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza fired a surface-to-air missile toward an Israeli helicopter in the Gaza Strip, causing sirens to sound in its cover, which was confirmed by the Al-Qassam Brigades.

Israeli warning

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz warned last Wednesday that Tel Aviv would intensify its strikes on the Gaza Strip if Hamas continued to fire rockets.

He said after visiting the town of Netivot, which was targeted by a rocket attack from Gaza: “I want to deliver a clear message” that “unless Hamas soon allows the release of all Israeli hostages from Gaza… and if it continues to fire rockets towards Israel, it will be vulnerable to intense strikes that Gaza has not witnessed.” “It’s been like that for a long time.”

Last Monday, the Israeli army announced that a missile fired from the Gaza Strip had landed in the Kissufim settlement adjacent to the Strip, without any injuries reported.

Following the outbreak of the war, tens of thousands of Israelis left their homes in the settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip and those near Lebanon, and since then Israel has been financing their stay in hotels and private residences.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 154,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst… Humanitarian disasters in the world.
