The Israeli army acknowledged the killing of an officer and a soldier in battles in the northern Gaza Strip last night, coinciding with continuing clashes in areas of the Strip.
The city of Khan Yunis (south of the Gaza Strip) witnessed fierce clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces in the vicinity of Nasser Hospital.
Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces fired light bombs into the atmosphere of the hospital, coinciding with continuous artillery shelling by the occupation in the vicinity of the hospital.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the occupation army announced that an officer with the rank of major was killed, and two others were seriously injured in battles that took place at night in the south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Soroka Hospital in the Negev also announced that it received 15 soldiers on Monday as a result of the fighting in Gaza, while the army announced that 18 of its soldiers and officers were injured as a result of the fighting in Gaza within 24 hours.
This brings the number of recognized Israeli deaths to 525 since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, including 195 soldiers who were killed since the start of the ground operation on the 26th of the same month.
The ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has left 24,285 martyrs and 61,154 injured as of yesterday, and caused the displacement of more than 85% of the Strip’s population (about 1.9 million people), according to the Strip authorities and the United Nations.
