Is a peace deal in Gaza possible after the killing of Yahya Sinwar? | Israeli-Palestinian conflict News

Leaders meet in Doha for a new round of ceasefire negotiations, with high hopes.

Ceasefire talks in Gaza have resumed in the Qatari capital Doha after being stalled for months.

The head of Israeli foreign intelligence Mossad and the head of the CIA met with the Qatari prime minister in hopes of moving negotiations forward.

The assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar should, according to Israel and the United States, pave the way for a peace agreement, ending the war against Gaza and allowing the release of the remaining prisoners in Gaza.

The latest round of negotiations follows a series of targeted assassinations by Israel of leaders in Gaza and Lebanon.

But could the negotiations really lead to a decisive breakthrough?
