International newspapers continued to focus their attention on the repercussions of the Israeli -Iranian war and the possibility of its renewal in the coming period, as well as the occupation army’s readiness for a multi -front war with Iran and its arms in the region.
An article in the British Guardian newspaper warned of the fragility of the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, suggesting that it might end at any moment.
According to the article, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu -who is required by the International Criminal Court uses the conflict tool to remain in power and avoid accountability, likening him to Russian President Vladimir Putin in his dependence on eternal war.
The Iranian regime may take advantage of the situation – according to the article – to strengthen its nuclear program or buy weapons from countries such as North Korea, noting that political leaders feed the conflict for personal purposes while civilians pay the price.
The ceasefire agreement between Tel Aviv and Tehran entered on June 24, after a war that Israel began on the 13th of the same month with a declared goal, which is to eliminate the Tehran nuclear and missile programs.
Iran responded with a series of missile attacks that left unprecedented destruction in several Israeli cities, while Washington interfered in the war, as it launched strikes on 3 major nuclear sites in Iran, most notably the Fordo facility.
For its part, the Israeli Jerusalem Post said that “the Israeli army is preparing for a multi -front war with Iran and its terrorist agents,” as described.
The newspaper pointed out that the army and the Ministry of Defense focus on launching technological and military updates with a focus on my operational range of two thousand kilometers.
She explained that one of the most prominent concerns that appeared during the war is to reveal advanced weapons, noting the need to “develop new secret weapons for the next round because of the enemy’s ability to learn and adapt.”
For its part, the Haaretz newspaper published an article for former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, warning of the delusions of victory despite the Israeli military achievements against Iran.
Barak stressed that the strikes did not eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat, which still exists, stressing an effective diplomatic necessity strengthened by regional alliances.
According to Barak, the absence of the political vision of the Netanyahu government hinders sustainable solutions, calling for its overthrow to “save Israeli democracy and security.”
Europe and the Middle East
An article in the American Politico newspaper saw that it was embarrassed to ignore European and British calls to reduce the escalation, and the worst of this is the exclusion of America’s supposed allies from the military operation against Iran.
According to the article – which was entitled “Europe is facing its importance in the Middle East” – US President Donald Trump was taking advantage of the diplomatic efforts of his supposed friends in Europe to mislead Iran and delude it that any attack may be weeks away.
