International newspapers and sites dealt with the continuous Israeli war developments and repercussions to cut Gaza, in addition to the ongoing moves to stop Russia’s war on Ukraine.

A report in the American New York Times highlighted the acute shortage of cash liquidity in the Gaza Strip, noting that with the high prices of basic commodities, some Palestinians resorted to selling their property and urged their friends and families abroad to send financial transfers to them.

But even Palestinians who have money in their bank accounts, according to the New York Times – are forced to pay approximately 50% commissions in exchange for their money.

The Washington Post newspaper wrote that the high temperatures in Gaza pushed families to use cartoon and trays fans to cool and sleep outside the tents, while women collect water at dawn and children are looking for a barefoot for food falling from the parcel.

“This method is not for humans, but for animals,” said Mahmoud Hawila, who was stabbed while trying to obtain a spinning atmosphere.

On the other hand, the Israeli Jerusalem Post reported in its editorial that the cost of the decision of the Benjamin Netanyahu government to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip may be exorbitant, and this may endanger Israel’s security on multiple fronts.

The newspaper added that “expanding operations without a clear plan to decide, may carry severe strategic consequences, and raise questions about the effectiveness of the approach currently followed in achieving the goals of the war.”

“Netanyahu’s reckless plan on Gaza will lead to his dismissal from his post,” he added, adding that “the circumstances are currently looking to exacerbate the popular anger in Israel, and will be filled with the intense Israeli army opposition to this false plan to occupy Gaza.”

Anti -proposal

On another topic, the American Journal of Time stated that the success of the ceasefire agreement in Ukraine is dependent on President Donald Trump’s ability to persuade Ukraine leaders to accept the demands of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which includes waiving large areas of its territory, noting that the Trump administration has repeatedly defended the idea of Kiev abandoning lands in exchange for achieving peace.

In the same context, the Wall Street Journal indicated that European countries and Ukraine responded with a counter proposal, which could constitute a framework for the upcoming talks between the American and Russian presidents at their meeting with Alaska.

The proposal includes that “any regional concession from Kiev should be protected by strict security guarantees, including Ukraine’s membership in NATO.”
