Countries and organizations have condemned the Israeli military aggression against Syria, and called for an international position to stop Israel’s repeated attacks, and it is expected that the UN Security Council will hold a session today, Thursday, an emergency session at the request of Syria.
The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli raids on Syria, and said it was a violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law, adding, “The Russian side has repeatedly condemned Israel’s arbitrary use of power in Syria, we are convinced that the solution to this problem lies in dialogue and promoting national unity.”
The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed its rejection of the Israeli attacks, and called for respecting the sovereignty of Syria and its territorial integrity.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense considered that the air strikes carried out by Israel on the center of Damascus after its attacks on southern Syria are a clear provocation targeting the hopes of peace and stability in the region.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ismail, condemned the remaining military attacks launched by Israel on Syria, and said, “Today, it has become clear to everyone that the Zionist entity is the biggest threat to peace and stability in the region,” and pointed out that “what happens in Syria is the result of excessive silence and inaction towards genocide, stirring wars and searching for dominance by the Zionist entity.”
He called for me to take immediate and effective measures by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations “to stop the stirring of wars and the dangerous expansion practiced by the occupation entity in the region.”
In the Arab world, Qatar condemned the Israeli attacks, and considered it “a blatant infringement on the sovereignty of Syria, a serious violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and in tampering with the security and stability of the region.”
Qatar, through a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called on the international community to “take decisive measures against the occupation to deter its aggressive policies and irresponsible actions that pose a serious threat to regional and international security.”
The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned “the continuation of the blatant Israeli attacks on the Syrian territories and the interference in its internal affairs,” and its call was renewed by the international community to “stand by Syria and support it at this stage, and to stand in front of these continuous Israeli attacks and violations on Syria.”
The UAE Foreign Ministry denounced “the serious escalation in southern Syria, the Israeli raids on the region, and its complete rejection of violating the sovereignty of Syria and the threat of its security and stability.”
The UAE welcomed “the announcement of the ceasefire in the province of As -Suwayda,” and stressed “the importance of calm and the protection of civilians.”
In turn, Egypt warned that the Israeli attacks “would deepen tension and are an essential element of instability in the region.”
Data has also been issued condemnation and condemnation from other Arab countries, such as Kuwait, Algeria, Lebanon and Iraq, in addition to data from organizations, in the forefront Gulf Cooperation Council andThe Arab League and the Islamic World League, and organizations such as International Federation of Muslim Scholars and Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Lebanese Hezbollah.
Security Council
On the other hand, a diplomatic source told the island that Syria submitted a request to the UN Security Council to hold an emergency session on the Israeli escalation of the country, noting that the session will be held today.
In a statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called on the international community and the Security Council to take urgent measures to end the repeated Israeli aggression against Syria.
It also condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression that targeted government institutions and civilian facilities in Damascus and As -Suwayda in southern Syria.
She emphasized that the recent attack comes within a “systematic policy of the Israeli entity to ignite tension and chaos and undermine security in Syria.”
She stressed that the Israeli attack represents a clear violation of the Charter of the United Nations and the International Humanitarian Law.
Israel also held the responsibility of escalation, noting that Syria “reserves its right to defend its land and its people by means of international law.”
It is noteworthy that the Syrian government forces had entered the Druze majority of As -Suwayda with the aim of overseeing a ceasefire that was agreed with the dignitaries and notables of the city, after confrontations with local Bedouin tribes that killed dozens.
Israel – which announced “not abandoning” the Druze and called for their protection – launched a series of raids on sites in the provinces of As -Suwayda, Daraa and the capital, Damascus, where the Israeli Air Force targeted the General Staff Building, the Ministry of Defense and the vicinity of the presidential palace.
