The past hours have witnessed a major and notable escalation, especially in the areas of northern Gaza, into which the Israeli army has returned to infiltrate again, while the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced that it carried out a number of attacks in the north and south of the Gaza Strip, while the security apparatus announced Gaza Civil Defense recovered the bodies of 10 martyrs from the Al-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent stated that the Israeli occupation forces are trying to penetrate into the center of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, and have also sent in new reinforcements, amid fierce clashes with the resistance factions.

The reporter said that the occupation forces opened heavy fire on shelter centers in the camp, forcing hundreds of Palestinians to leave, and they also targeted ambulances trying to move inside the camp.

This comes amid ongoing violent bombardment on crowded residential areas in the camp, which resulted in the injury of a number of Palestinians.

Tel Aviv Tribune obtained pictures showing the devastation caused by the bombing by the Israeli occupation forces – Monday morning – on a number of homes in “Block 2” in the middle of the Jabalia camp. The bombing also led to the outbreak of fires, amid fierce clashes between the occupation forces and the resistance.

Incursion and displacement

Since yesterday, Sunday, the Israeli army has expanded its incursion east of the Jabalia camp and town (northern Gaza Strip) under heavy fire cover carried out by warplanes and artillery on various areas of the camp, from which thousands of Palestinians were displaced, and many of them were martyred and wounded.

The continuous Israeli artillery shelling targets residential buildings in Jabalia camp, amidst gunfire from helicopters and drones on anyone moving in the area.

While Jabalia camp and large areas in the northern Gaza Strip witnessed a large migration movement of Palestinians since the early morning hours to the west of Gaza City.

Clashes in Rafah

In a related context, the Al-Qassam Brigades said that its fighters were engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers east of George Street in the axis of the incursion east of the city of Rafah.

The Al-Qassam Brigades statement added that the fighters targeted an Israeli troop carrier in the same place with an Al-Yassin 105 missile.

Despite international warnings, the Israeli army expanded the scope of its operations east of Rafah, and called on residents of other neighborhoods to move towards the Al-Mawasi area (between Rafah and Khan Yunis), under the pretext of the presence of Hamas military activity.

According to the Israeli army, about 300,000 Palestinians have been displaced from eastern Rafah since the start of its ground operations last Monday.

22 Palestinians, including women and children, were martyred in Israeli raids and artillery shelling on various areas of the city of Rafah during the past 24 hours.

Since the start of the ground invasion of the eastern parts of the city of Rafah for the sixth day in a row, the number of martyrs has risen to more than 140, in addition to the destruction of dozens of homes and commercial establishments.
