Gaza- “As if I had grown 100 years during this crazy war,” says the legal advisor and specialized in international law, Ghanem Al -Attar (70 years), whose occupation forces destroyed his home and office in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, and has lived the tragedy of displacement for 22 months.

In a dilapidated tent, the winds are blurry with a worn fabric in the Al -Mawsi area, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Al -Attar will reside with this tent after a bitter displacement journey accompanied by his large family, which started with the early days of the Israeli war on the Strip after October 7, 2023, and they moved from one place to another, until their current station, which he classifies as the most difficult and cruel period of war, as a result of starvation and thirst.

He wrote to this family to escape many dangers, one of which left an effect that Al -Attar still senses his pain, when he lost one of his daughters in a massacre committed by Israel known as the “Brexat massacre” northwest of the city of Rafah in the south of the Strip in May 2024.

Al -Attar is sponsored by orphans from his grandchildren with his family, and he suffers to provide food and drink for them, in light of a strict siege and the closure of the crossings and the prevention of the occupation to introduce humanitarian supplies to the absence of two million and 300 thousand people in the Gaza Strip since last March 2.

“It was killed by starvation and thirst, which is a more deadly weapon of missiles and bombs,” says Al -Attar, who begins his hard day early, roaming the streets and throughout the most crowded area in the sector in search of water and food.

Like the wildfire spread to Al -Attar a few days ago, a video clip circulated by social media platforms and news channels, in which he appeared and his head was covered and beard with white hair, wearing a shabby clothes, rushing in the street and with a plastic gallons, to catch a truck to distribute drinking water to the displaced.

The Gazans complain of a severe crisis in providing fresh water for drinking, and the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) estimates that 96% of families in Gaza face a lack of water security, and that 90% of the population are unable to reach drinking water, and Ocha says in his latest reports that the specter of starvation is clouding all the residents of Gaza.

“The world is satisfied with issuing data and reports, while death kills us around the clock,” Al -Attar says, and as international law specializing in international, “international law, Geneva Conventions, and human rights covenants are converting to ink on paper when it comes to Israel’s crimes.”

Aid martyrs

While answering what Al -Attar describes as “death distribution centers” of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation with widespread international rejection, the occupying state does not care about all of this, and continues to kill counselors from aid applicants, protected by unlimited American support.

Pointing the deficit, need, and lack of trick, the father comes out, carrying an empty bag and overwhelming his life, to return to what he clogged with the breath of his family and children, so he returns to them a dead body in his bag; This is how Al -Attar talks with great pain about daily bloody tales on the doorstep of these centers.

Since the opening of these centers, with Israeli -American support, on May 27, more than 1500 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 10,000 others were wounded by the fire of the Israeli army and foreign contractors with the responsible institution, according to data for local and international bodies.

The United Nations rejects the Israeli plan and sees that it imposes more displacement, is exposed to thousands of people to harm, and the aid is limited to only one part of Gaza and does not meet other urgent needs, and makes aid associated with political and military goals, as well as starvation is a bargaining paper.

Despite the life of misery

While he was sitting in front of the fireplace and frying potatoes to be a lunch for his family, Al -Attar referred to his worn out clothes, saying, “At this time before the outbreak of this war, I was wearing the official suit and the attorney coat and pleading in the courts in defense of the oppressed.”

He is not ashamed of helping his family to bear the daily burdens, but he does not hide his longing for his previous life before the war that has completely destroyed the judiciary sector and removed him from service, and says, “He (ended) everything in Gaza, our homes, offices, our courts and our schools.”

And Attar is a prisoner who spent 30 months in the occupation prisons since the beginning of its youth, and all the Israeli wars lived on Gaza, and despite the harsh circumstances he lives and that affected its features and appearance, it did not get his resolve and steadfastness.

In the language of confident, he says, referring to his hand to his tent: “A tent on my land in Gaza is better than all of the world, and this war will stop and we will rebuild our lives here, and the plots of displacement will fall.”

Completion killing

For his part, the Director General of the Government Media Office, Dr. Ismail Al -Thawabta, told Al -Jazeera Net that the occupation manages a systematic annihilation war using the tools of fire with fire, in addition to “slow killing by starvation and thirst.”

The occupation destroyed – according to the statements of the government media office – and since the outbreak of the war, 722 central water wells and removed it from service, and targeted 113 fresh water projects, in addition to destroying more than 500 thousand long long from water networks.

The constants stressed that all Gaza population is currently falling into the heart of the disaster in terms of starvation and thirst, which is a dangerous and unprecedented stage in modern history, and many families cannot get one meal for several consecutive days, as well as the hardships of access to water.

As a result of international pressure, the occupation allows the occupation since last July 27 to introduce limited numbers of aid trucks, the constants say it “does not meet the huge needs of the population who want 600 trucks per day of different foodstuffs and fuel.”

The constants hold the countries involved in the distribution of “chaotic” aid responsibility for the exacerbation of the humanitarian disaster (European)

The government official accuses the occupation of adopting a policy based on “starvation and chaos” in an effort to “break the steadfastness of our people and dismantle his societal fabric”, by allowing small quantities of aid to enter, and forcing trucks to pass from unsafe paths and crowded civilians who are pushing hunger to attack these trucks and seize their contents, which causes the causes Squeeze souls.

The constants hold the occupation and those who describe it as “the countries involved in the chaotic aid distribution system”, especially the United States, is fully responsible for the exacerbation of the humanitarian catastrophe.

The world demanded pressure to stop the crimes of the occupation by killing, starving and thirsting, opening the crossings and allowing the flow of humanitarian supplies from food, medicine and fuel without obstacles or political requirements, and any procrastination in this considers the government official “involved in one way or another with the occupation of the crimes of genocide and starvation.”
