Injuries, raids, and an increase in the number of detainees in the West Bank News


10 Palestinians were injured in confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in several cities in the West Bank, and the occupation also arrested many Palestinians there, while the Prisoner’s Club revealed that the number of detainees exceeded 4,000 detainees since the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.

In the city of Ramallah in the central West Bank, 5 Palestinians were injured during the occupation army forces’ storming of the city.

Confrontations broke out between citizens and the occupation forces after 30 Israeli vehicles stormed several neighborhoods in the city, firing live and rubber-coated metal bullets and poison tear gas bombs.

Witnesses indicated that Israeli forces raided several homes and shops, and also confiscated surveillance camera recordings from a number of shops.

In Bethlehem, 3 Palestinians were injured, two of them critically, in clashes that broke out after the funeral of the martyr Mahmoud Zaoul in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem.

The occupation soldiers mounted a number of rooftops in the same area and turned them into observation points.

The village of Husan is witnessing a strike, to mourn the martyrdom of Mahmoud Zaoul, who was martyred yesterday after being hit by live bullets in the neck during the occupation army’s storming of the village.

Two young men were also injured in Nablus and Qalqilya, during confrontations with the occupation army.

Large forces from the occupation army stormed the village of Tal from several entrances, and raided and searched a number of citizens’ homes.

The occupation forces also stormed Qalqilya and set up barriers at its entrances, leading to the outbreak of confrontations during which the forces fired live bullets, wounding a young man in the foot and arresting him.

Arrests

This coincided with an arrest campaign in several cities in the West Bank, where the Israeli occupation army arrested 31 Palestinians from the West Bank, including 3 children.

8 Palestinians were arrested in Jerusalem, 11 in Bethlehem, including a freed prisoner, two were also arrested in Tubas, one of whom was a freed prisoner, and two were arrested, one in Salfit and the other in Nablus.

In Hebron, the occupation arrested 3 Palestinians, including a freed prisoner, two in Ramallah, and two in Tulkarm, one of whom was a freed prisoner.

In this context, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club revealed that the number of detainees has reached 4,655 Palestinians since the seventh of last October.

A statement from the human rights institution stated that the number of detained women reached 160, including those from 48 territories, and the number of children was more than 260.

Administrative detention orders during the same period amounted to 2,345 orders, including new orders and renewal orders, and 6 prisoners were martyred in detention centers.

According to the organization’s statement, the numbers do not include detainees in the Gaza Strip because the occupation refuses to disclose them.

It revealed that in addition to the arrest campaigns, the occupation forces carried out field executions, including members of the detainees’ families.
