Injuries by Israeli occupation bullets in Jenin news

Today, Wednesday, two Palestinians were injured by the occupation army’s bullets in the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank, on the second day of the military operation launched by the forces against the city and its camp.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that two young men were injured by live bullets, one of them (18 years old) in the chest, and the other (21 years old) in the hand, and they were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the occupation army killed 5 Palestinians and wounded 10 others during its storming of the Jenin camp, according to the Red Crescent Society and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Local sources reported that an Israeli drone dropped bombs near the Khalid bin Al-Walid Mosque in the Al-Sharqiya neighborhood of the city, without causing any casualties. Israeli bulldozers also continued to destroy infrastructure and bulldoze streets, which led to a power and water outage in large areas of the city.

Jenin Governor Kamal Abu Al-Rub called on the international community to intervene to stop the destruction operations and rebuild what was vandalized in the city and the camp. Human rights organizations also stressed the need to put pressure to end the escalation and stop Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.

Armed confrontations

Clashes continue between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces, as the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced targeting army vehicles with showers of bullets and explosive devices, while the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades confirmed their armed clashes in the eastern neighborhood with “machine guns and explosive devices.”

The occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians, including women, children and former prisoners, during their raids on various areas in the West Bank, and the number of detainees rose to more than 11,700 since October 2023, as part of a systematic and escalating campaign of arrests, according to the Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs.

The number of Palestinian martyrs as a result of Israeli attacks in the West Bank and East Jerusalem reached 790 people, while the number of wounded reached about 6,450, according to official data.

In conjunction with the escalation in the West Bank, Israel has continued to wage a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the death of about 148,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to widespread destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens.
