Three men opened fire on motorists near a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank east of Jerusalem. At least one person was killed and eight others injured.
They arrived in a car before drawing their weapons and opening fire. This Thursday, three men fired automatic weapons at several vehicles, not far from a large Jewish colony in the occupied West Bank, an area located 7 kilometers east of Jerusalem.
During the attack, at least one person was killed and eight others injured. Israeli police described the assault as“terrorist attack”.
This new attack comes days after two people were shot and killed in southern Israel. Violence was already on the rise in the West Bank and has only intensified since the start of the Gaza war on October 7 between Israel and Hamas.
Since the start of the conflict, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Ramallah, Israeli troops and settlers have killed at least 400 Palestinians in the West Bank.
