Farmers demonstrated in particular against the European Green Deal. Mobilizations that have lasted for several months.
A mobilization which does not weaken and which, they hope, will push consumers to support their cause.
In the center of Madrid, farmers once again demonstrated, some at the wheel of their tractors. This is their fourth rally in the Spanish capital since the start of their movement in mid-January.
And their demands have not changed. They denounce the administrative and environmental constraints they face, particularly because of the European Green Deal.
“We want consumers to join us and create an image of unity in society, because ultimately all we ask for in campaigns comes down to purchasing power“, explains a demonstrator.
In Poland, the anger of farmers also continues unabated. On Sunday, some blocked part of the highway linking Warsaw to Berlin. They are protesting against imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. They also oppose the European Green Deal, considered too restrictive.
These demonstrations come as on Friday, Brussels proposed changes to ease the environmental rules of the CAP.
