A number of students at Columbia University in New York demonstrated outside the university gates on the first day of the new semester, continuing the movement that began last year in protest against the Israeli war on Gaza.
The students participating in the demonstration called for an academic and economic boycott of Israel, and for a boycott of studies in light of the destruction that universities in the Gaza Strip have suffered as a result of the attacks of the Israeli occupation forces.
