The Israeli occupation authorities continue to close most of the Palestinian neighborhoods and towns in the occupied city of Jerusalem, on the occasion of the so-called Jewish Day of Atonement, which has disrupted the lives of Palestinians and restricted their freedom of movement.
The celebration of this holiday began at sunset yesterday, Friday, and will continue until sunset today, Saturday, during which life in Israel stops and air, land and sea crossings, public and private institutions, schools and universities are closed.
The movement of vehicles and public transportation of all kinds is also prohibited, and the visual, audio, and written media stop working.
On this holiday, Jerusalemites are imprisoned in their neighborhoods by the occupation force, which closes the entrances to their towns with cement cubes and iron gates.
