Occupied Jerusalem- The Arghunian School is located in the city of Jerusalem between the Qattanin and Al-Hadid Gates in the western corridor of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Its name goes back to the Mamluk Prince Arghun Al-Kamili, who established it in 1357 AD, and today it is used as a residence.
The school consists of two floors, and its walls were built of white and red interlaced stones with stone inscriptions, the most prominent of which is above the main entrance, in which the name of the builder and the year of construction are recorded, and above it is a group of interlocking interlocking stones.
There are two shrines inside the school: the shrine of its founder, Prince Arghun (1328-1357), and the shrine of Sharif Hussein bin Ali (1854-1931), the launcher of the Great Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire.
