On Sunday, many European cities, in addition to cities in Turkey and Brazil, witnessed demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people, denouncing the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
The Dutch city of Rotterdam witnessed massive demonstrations in solidarity with Gaza and demanded a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in the Strip.
The Danish capital, Copenhagen, also witnessed a protest, to denounce the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza and in solidarity with the Palestinians.
The protest included speeches that shed light on the suffering of the people of Gaza, and Israel’s commitment of war crimes and genocide against civilians, especially children and women. The protest participants called for an immediate end to the war.
In Germany, several cities witnessed protests for the second day in a row, demanding an end to what the demonstrators described as genocide in Gaza.
In Berlin, a march took place in cars, motorcycles, and on foot, to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, while other demonstrators denounced the German government’s position in support of Israel, and demanded the cessation of all aid to it.
In Sweden, the city of Göteborg witnessed a massive demonstration in support of Palestine and Gaza.
In the city of Malmo, thousands demonstrated in support of Gaza and Palestine and to protest the continuation of the war on the Gaza Strip.
A demonstration in support of Palestine and Gaza also took place in the Austrian city of Salzburg.
In the Uskudar area of Istanbul, Turkey, a demonstration took place in support of Gaza and in rejection of the continuation of the Israeli war. The demonstrators, including thousands of women, carried Palestinian flags and huge banners denouncing the occupation’s crimes against civilians and demanding an immediate end to the war and an end to what they called the war of extermination.
In Lefkosa, Turkish Cyprus, a demonstration was launched in which local demonstrators and foreign students residing in the city participated. The demonstrators denounced Israel’s attempts to eliminate and completely destroy Gaza, criticizing the global silence regarding this.
The “Brazilian Institutions for Palestine Gathering” also organized an event in support of stopping what it called the genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza, in Palestine Square in the center of the city of Sao Paulo.
Participants raised slogans demanding that Israel be tried for what they described as war crimes against civilians. We call on the world to take greater effective action to support Gaza and hold the Israeli government and army accountable.
