Occupied Jerusalem The Citadel and Ein Salman are located north of the village of Beit Duqu, west of Jerusalem, and are approximately 500 meters above sea level, overlooking the Palestinian coast to the west.

The site contains archaeological evidence dating back to ancient times, indicating the antiquity of human presence in the place.

The castle consists of several rooms and halls, and is mainly made of arched stone construction. It was used as a fortified tower for the purpose of surveillance and protection.

Historical sources say that the construction of the castle in its current form dates back to the period of the Crusader occupation of Jerusalem, over ruins dating back to the Byzantine era, and then it was renovated in the Ottoman era.
