There were dozens of activists on Wednesday, on the steps of the Convention Center in Mexico City, to protest against bullfighting. A gathering which comes the day after a judge refused to suspend this practice in the capital.

After more than a year of ban, bullfighting, which remains popular in the country, was finally reauthorized by the Supreme Court.

A bullfight even took place at the end of January in Mexico City, where the largest arenas in the world are located, with a capacity of 50,000 spectators. Since then, pro- and anti-bullfighting have been engaged in a fierce legal battle.
