IMF releases new aid for Ukraine


The $900 million payment is part of a $15 billion package of aid from the monetary institution to Kyiv.

Volodymyr Zelensky continues his American tour to maintain mobilization in favor of Ukraine. He met the president of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, and obtained the sending of 900 million dollars to kyiv.

This aid is part of a package approved last March of more than 15 billion dollars

The Ukrainian president is due to meet his American counterpart Joe Biden this Tuesday and address Congress to convince him to release aid frozen by the Republicans.

Since the start of the year, Kyiv has received more than $35 billion to cover its budget deficit.

The European summit on December 14 and 15 in Brussels will be an opportunity for the 27 to decide on the terms of their financial support for Kyiv, as well as the opening of negotiations for accession to the European Union.
