The Israeli army says it found Hamas “ammunition, weapons and military equipment” in the MRI department of al-Chifa hospital.

The IDF also says it found “a command center” and explains that it made these discoveries following an operation inside the main hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas denies this and on the contrary assures that it “does not authorize” the presence of weapons in the hospital complex.

Israel accuses the terrorist movement of having set up its headquarters in the al-Chifa compound, in the heart of Gaza city.

The United States claims to have information confirming the Israeli accusations.

The IDF operation has sparked widespread concern across the world.

At the same time, UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths revealed that Israel had decided not to limit the number of trucks allowed into the Gaza Strip.

According to him, around 460 trucks are waiting on the Egyptian side for authorization to cross the Raffah crossing point, south of the Palestinian enclave.
