What is interesting is that the Golani Brigade is older than Israel itself, as it was founded 3 months before the declaration of this state on the lands of Palestine in 1948.
It is also known as Brigade Number One because it is one of the first infantry brigades in the Israeli army, noting that it bore this name in reference to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights due to its position in the Galilee region in northern Israel.
The brigade includes 4 main battalions, and its soldiers are classified as elite forces due to the harsh training they receive before joining. He participated in all the major wars that Israel has fought since its establishment.
