The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned of the repercussions of hunger in the Gaza Strip reaching critical levels, calling for an immediate ceasefire.

UNRWA accompanied its statement with pictures showing the huge volume of waste in a street in the Strip, without giving details.

A few days ago, UNRWA warned that more than two million displaced people in Gaza are besieged by hunger, thirst and disease, and said that obtaining meals has become an impossible task for families in the Strip.
