Thanks to adapted equipment like this ramp, this young girl will be able to enjoy a few days of vacation at Lake Balaton, in western Hungary.

And she is not the only one. This year, 105 children living with physical disabilities were able to participate in a wide variety of activities in this popular place among Hungarians.

A summer camp organized by an association, with the presence of well-trained staff. Enough to make them spend an unforgettable vacation.

“For us, Lake Balaton is the Riviera, so we always come here. There are swimming programs, you can go sailing. Many people swim in the lake for the first time in their lives.“, explains Alpár Lázár, one of the organizers.

The camp’s special feature is that it allows children with disabilities and children without disabilities to play together. An inclusiveness that allows for an open mind for everyone.

The initiative is highly appreciated by the participants in this summer camp, in this country which, despite some progress, still has a lot to do for the inclusion of people with disabilities.

“The best thing is that here, able-bodied people and disabled people can have different experiences together”explains Richárd Tóth, one of the participants.

Activities are also not offered according to disability. With their wheelchairs, children can even play team sports, such as football.
