Humanity is failing in Gaza Opinions

|

More than 60 days have passed since the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the enemy is still insisting on achieving its goals that it announced from day one, which are: destroying the Hamas movement, recovering the hostages in the Gaza Strip, and expelling the residents of the Strip to Sinai.

After 60 days of aggression, Netanyahu and his racist government have provided no evidence of achieving any of the three goals. Until this moment, we still see graphic scenes of the heroic performance of the resistance, and we read on a daily basis about the losses that the resistance inflicted on the enemy, between the destruction of hundreds of vehicles, and the shooting down of hundreds of soldiers, killed and wounded, and from “distance zero.”

Not only that, but this was accompanied by the majestic scene, in form and content, of members of the Al-Qassam Brigades handing over hostages to the International Red Cross, where dozens of members participated, with complete calm and composure, in four-wheel drive vehicles, amidst a majestic crowd chanting for the resistance, and in the center of Gaza City, where The fiercest battles took place, and the enemy claimed that he had destroyed it and eliminated Hamas’ capabilities there.

Not only that, but these fighters presented an exceptional model, which we have heard and read about in history books, in dealing with their prisoners. They are the values of noble men, who stand on the land of a great civilization that taught humanity the values of tolerance and coexistence hundreds of years ago, even though some of them may have lost their families and loved ones at the hands of the Zionists in this aggression.

As for the second goal, to recover the prisoners, Netanyahu and his army failed to rescue any of them by force, and none of the hostages were released except according to the conditions of the resistance.

The third goal, announced by the enemy government; It is the displacement of the population of the Gaza Strip to Sinai in Egypt. In implementation of old plans prepared by the extremist Zionist government, within the framework of resolving the conflict once and for all in their favor, the enemy was surprised by the steely will of the Palestinians to stand firm and hold on to their homes, and not repeat the scene of the Nakba again, no matter what the cost to them.

Partial success of the enemy

The enemy partially succeeded in pushing thousands of Palestinians to flee from north to south, but; Certainly, he failed to implement his plan to displace the Palestinians out of Palestine.

What have Netanyahu and his war council achieved so far? Tens of thousands were killed and injured, most of them women and children, hundreds of thousands of homes were destroyed, hospitals, schools, universities, mosques and churches were destroyed, infrastructure and every reason for life to continue in the Strip was destroyed.

All of the above are nothing but war crimes, crimes against humanity, and ethnic cleansing, which meet all the conditions of genocide.

Netanyahu will not achieve any of his declared goals, and he will return to the Kirya headquarters carrying the tails of defeat, disgrace, and dishonor. Most importantly, he and his war council will not escape punishment.

The battle ended on the first day it began, glorious October 7, and our Palestinian people achieved a strategic victory on the path to liberation, despite all the high prices we paid, and will pay on this path.

But one of the most important outcomes of this glorious battle in our history is that the greatest of the defeated is all of humanity, as it has failed until this moment to stop the aggression and prevent the imminent humanitarian catastrophe. As a result of the direct targeting of infrastructure and the health system, in addition to the starvation war imposed by the enemy on our people for more than 60 days.

For more than 60 days, Netanyahu imposed a severe siege on 2.3 million people in the Gaza Strip, depriving them of food, water, medicine, electricity, fuel, and communications.

All relevant international institutions have warned of the danger of continuing this imposed blockade, and its repercussions not only on humans, but many UN officials – the most recent of whom is Ms. Lynn Hastings, head of OCHA in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the head of the World Health Organization… – have declared about the health and environmental catastrophe that It occurs in Gaza, whether due to the collapse of the health system, the destruction of infrastructure, or the presence of thousands of bodies under the rubble.

Unfortunately, all of humanity has failed to confront Zionist arrogance and American complicity, and force them to lift the siege on Gaza. Not only did humanity fail to stop the crime of genocide taking place on air before the eyes of millions of people, but it also failed to introduce a drink of water or a cup of milk to the children in Gaza.

Despite all the intense international pressure, for 60 days, the average amount of aid trucks entered was 25 trucks per day (for the northern Gaza Strip; an average of two trucks per day), even though the Gaza Strip’s daily need is about 500-600 trucks per day in times of peace.

Thousands of trucks of humanitarian aid are waiting at the Rafah crossing, and tens of thousands are on their way from all over the world, but the Zionist enemy was able to impose its conditions for the entry of aid on everyone.

Shame haunts humanity

This inability will remain a shame that haunts humanity for decades. I do not know how international institutions or states will ask any country in the event of a conflict or war to break out after today to respect international humanitarian law and adhere to its standards, especially if criminals escape punishment.

Perhaps there is still a small opportunity for all of us to work to lift the siege immediately, and to save the lives of millions of people, most of them women and children, so that we may erase this shame that will haunt humanity for generations.

The international community must act immediately, before it is too late.
