Could aid workers have been deliberately targeted by the Israeli army?

In a report published on Tuesday, the humanitarian organization Humans Rights Watch warned of a number of deliberate Israeli strikes.

At least eight strikes would be affected. They are said to have killed or injured at least 31 aid workers and their companions.

The affected organizations claim that no advance warning would have been issued by the IDF.

And while nearly a million and a half people are refugees in southern Gaza, providing them with the necessary aid is a constant danger.

The UN, through its spokesperson, declared “deeply concerned by the lack of protection of civilians and the lack of security of humanitarian operations. Civilians must be protected and their basic needs must be met. Whether they move or stay. Those who leave must have sufficient time to do so, as well as a safe route and location.” he recalled.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, for his part took stock of the humanitarian workers working for the UN killed since October 7, 2023.

On Monday, in the West Bank, images shocked social networks, showing Israeli demonstrators stopping a humanitarian aid truck, ransacking and throwing part of its load intended for the Gaza Strip.

However, the Israeli police intervened and arrested at least 4 people according to witnesses.

In this tweet, the author of these images describes settlers attacking the truck at a checkpoint and explains that a group of which she is part tried to stop them.
