Human Rights Observatory: 400,000 Palestinians are dying of hunger and thirst in northern Gaza news

A human rights organization reported that about 400,000 Palestinians are threatened with “death of hunger and thirst” in the Gaza and northern Gaza Strip governorates as a result of the Israeli siege and the prevention of aid access.

This comes as Israel continues to launch a military operation 10 days ago as part of the war to exterminate the population of Gaza, which has been ongoing for a year.

The Geneva-based Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory said: “About 400,000 Palestinians are threatened with death from hunger and thirst north of the Gaza Valley as a result of Israel’s decision to prevent the arrival of aid or goods to them for several weeks, at a time when a massive attack on northern Gaza continues for the tenth day in a row to empty the area of “its inhabitants.”

The Observatory added in a statement, “About 200,000 Palestinians in North Gaza Governorate (Beit Hanoun, Jabalia, Beit Lahia) have been unable for 10 full days to obtain any food supplies or drinking water as a result of the siege and the military operation.”

He stressed that “dozens of Palestinians besieged in the Jabalia camp went to the UNRWA supply center under stress of hunger, but the Israeli army targeted them with missiles and drones, killing 10 and wounding 40 others,” noting that many victims are still in the streets and cannot be transported to the camp. Hospital.

The Observatory pointed out that “whoever survives Israel’s bombing is threatened with death by starvation and thirst in one of the largest crimes of murder by starvation, which reflects the clear intention to use starvation as a killing weapon and impose living conditions intended for the actual destruction of the Palestinians in Gaza, within the crime of genocide.”

He added, “Thousands of besieged residents in Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip have run out of all their food supplies.”

For the tenth day, the Israeli army continues its invasion of the northern Gaza Strip, amid a severe siege and starvation during which the entry of food, drink, or fuel is prohibited, and under continuous bloody bombardment.

The army is trying to displace Palestinians from the north of the Gaza Strip to its south, amid Palestinian accusations against Tel Aviv of working to occupy the region and empty it of its population through siege, starvation and killing.

With American support, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza for more than a year, leaving more than 140,000 Palestinians dead and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
