Human rights body: Prisoners in Ofer prison were poisoned due to spoiled meals News

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority said that it had monitored a large number of prisoners from Ofer Prison being poisoned due to being served spoiled meals.

The authority said that this was confirmed by the authority’s lawyer after difficult attempts to visit the prison on December 28, when the prisoners felt severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting, immediately after eating, according to the authority’s Facebook page.

The authority added that the prison administration, since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, has deliberately practiced the most horrific punishments against prisoners, including keeping them hungry for long periods, and only providing them with poor quality and poor meals.

In addition, the prison administration severely beats and isolates anyone who objects to this.
