How will Hamas react to the assassination of one of its top leaders? | Israel’s war against Gaza

Israel is accused of killing Saleh al-Arouri in a drone strike in the Hezbollah stronghold in the Lebanese capital.

The assassination of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri is seen as a major blow to the group’s leadership.

The commander-in-chief was killed Tuesday in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, in a drone strike, raising the risk of an escalation of fighting in the war between Israel and Gaza well beyond the Gaza Strip.

It could also signal a new approach to war by Israel, although Tel Aviv has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement in the strike.

Nearly three months after the start of the war, al-Arouri’s assassination will likely intensify hostilities between Israel and Hamas.

So, will they expand beyond existing conflict zones?
